The Buddy Benefit A Success

November 13, 2009 - THE ADVISORY BOARD of Best Buddies Illinois and EVENT CHAIRS Patty and Chris OConnell, Colette Cachey Smithburg and Thomas Smithburg, want to thank everyone who attended The Buddy Benefit at the Peninsula Hotel Chicago.
Over 240 individuals, VIPs and supporters attended this successful evening, raising over $115,000. Cocktails, camaraderie and a silent auction featuring a Puppy and the Buddy Scooter kicked -off the evening.
The festivities continued with dinner and a program hosted by Pentagon Press Secretary and Best Buddies advocate, Geoff Morrell, Board Member and Parent, Thomas Dolan, and Best Buddies High School participants Riley Newsome and Eric Chiu.
Guests then danced the night away to the tunes of DJ Madrid while getting in their last minute auction bids.
